Added on July 7, 2008: Radiohead and More - An All British BPM-Paced Workout

Details    iMix in the iTunes Music Store. icon

It's got lots of Radiohead and it's mostly alternative. Here's the BPM Sequence: Warm up at 145 steps per minute, then vary the pace between 149 and 179. The cool down is at 112. Enjoy!

All prepared playlists

(July 23, 2008) The tunes from Beck's new album, Modern Guilt, make up a nice little playlist, with 2 tunes in the 120 BPM range for warm-up and cool-down and 5 runnables that peak at 176. You can download them as individual tunes from our Beck list and add them to your workout playlists.

From iTunes' latest releases, we found Nas' "Make the World Go Round" running at a fast 180, 2 tunes by The Cure in the 140s, and "Pushin' Me Away" by the Jonas Brothers at 162 BPM. Check the above tunes list for details.

Jim Webster emailed me about his new site, podwogging.com. It's a great source of tunes for working out exactly to the beat. From his list we posted Private Idaho (Live at the Roxy) by the B-52's. It rocks at 168. They're both on the jogtunes.com home page.

I added Amazon/MP3 links to recently added tunes on our tunes list. Try rolling over the link to see more details. Meanwhile, enjoy the music and and your favorite BPM paced fitness workouts. --Dr. Bob

On June 24, 2008, the What a Wonderful Life blog post cited a womenshealthmag.com article, "13 ways to stay on track and lose weight", which gave a shout out to JogTunes:

"So thank God for jogtunes.com" is followed by a great description of our playlist offering and our emphasis on working out to the beat. -- Thanks to Riki Setya Ramdhani for posting the article.

And from GreenDaily's website, this post on 4/23/08:

JogTunes has a cool feature: it lists the times and the running pace in beats per minute (BPM) for each song. For example, a faster-paced song, like Billy Idol's "Dancing With Myself," is a whopping 170 BPM, whereas Maroon 5's "This Love" is a calmer 94 BPM. -- Ellen Slatery

Out of Australia comes run2rhythm, a unique running music website and podcast. The music is specially composed and performed to match the rhythm of your running pace.

And from the Netherlands comes TrainingWithTheStars.com, a BPM oriented website and podcast featuring top athletes and running to music. Here's the English explanation. The language may be Dutch but the music and the beat are universal.
