What's the added value?
One is an enhanced podcast. Enhanced podcasts are AAC encoded audio files (m4a or m4b, m4p). This format is unique to Apple, Inc. products and only works on the video iPods and several other players. It displays images and allows chapter selection. You can see the song titles, album art, and associated BPMs on your video iPod and in iTunes, along with links to the artists' websites. Also, if you want to modify your workout sequence, you can press the forward or back button on audio-only and video iPods and move to another tune. This way you can shorten or lengthen your workout, move to a faster or slower song, or repeat a song that you really enjoyed.
The other value-added feature is the minimization of the voice-overs which are present on the free podcast episodes. Except for a brief intro, the episodes are talk free. This allows listeners to enjoy the music and the changes in pace without interruption.
